Newtown AFC will take on Cardiff Met FC on Friday. The last time the two teams came head-to-head, Cardiff Met were successful beating Newtown 2 – 1.

Cardiff Met could be the odds-on favourites heading into this clash, they managed to defeat the current titleholder The New Saints, in spectacular fashion earlier this year.

A win for Cardiff Met could have the team promoted to the top three spots on the league table. Although, it is a must win scenario for Newtown to stay in touching distance of the top five teams.

Both teams have played 25 matches so far. Currently Cardiff Met hold the fourth position on the championship table with fourteen wins, nine loses, and 44 points. While Newton hold the sixth position with eleven wins, ten loses, and 37 points.

For Cardiff Met, Charlie Corsby was out with an ACL injury, it would be interesting to see how he performs.
