
Cardiff Met Archers closed the match (53 – 37) with a roar from the home crowd at Archers Arena. It came down to which team wanted the win more and Archers prevailed.
Archers won the tip off and Sam Hill was fouled after 40 seconds, she scored one point. Sarah Hope quickly responded with two points for Wolves. After a slow start Archers called a timeout as Wolves led by three points (6 – 3).
Sam hill had an outstanding performance in the first quarter with seven points and seven rebounds. At the end of the first quarter (Archers 11 – 10 Wolves).
The score was (13 – 13) after two minutes of action in the second quarter.
Wolves were defending well, they forced Archers to make a few inaccurate passes and took the lead (21 – 17).
Archers powered through a small deficit, as the Atkin sisters showed incredible synergy and Jade Atkin added two points. Archers scored a couple of points in quick succession and took the lead (27 – 21).
Jade Atkin found her stride and dominated the score sheet in the third quarter. The score was (Archers 39 – 29 Wolves) at the end of the quarter.
In the fourth quarter, Wolves initiated a press to enhance their defence and momentum swung in their favour, they called a timeout with six minutes remaining on the clock.
Sam Hill continued with her impeccable shooting form as Wolves fought valiantly to close a sizable gap, but the Powerhouses Atkin and Hill were difficult to conquer.
